Be Careful For What You Wish For....

You definitely need to be careful for what you wish for....especially with snow...in my last post my kids were so excited about the snow but sad that it melted so quickly but two days later they got what they wish for but with a vengeance! This is what we woke up too beautiful but freezing!!!!

We thought for sure that school was closed but no, even though we were having a blizzard, they were still open! So we decided our best option was walking...we pulled on our snow pants, boots, gloves, hats and a sled!
Look how deep the snow is...it was definitely a workout on our legs!!!
The sled was for Mya...I thought it would be easier for her and for myself , that she was transported this way!
Nate had a blast pulling his little sister!!!
Off to school they go...side note, Mya was the envy of all her classmates, they thought it was so COOL to come to school on a sled.  I was also nominated for best mom by a mom yelling out of her car, for pulling Mya on a sled after school....The Joy of Snow!!!

To A Child, Getting an inch of snow is like winning the lottery!

Yesterday November 18th, was our first official Snow Fall and as I said it in my title...to a child, getting an inch of snow is like winning the lottery!!! My kids were so excited for the snow and the possibilities of playing in it. I also have to admit that I was excited too...I felt like a kid, so I can totally understand how they were feeling. We walked to school in the morning and it was so fun... that we were late!!! My kids had a half a day at school, so my kindergartener came out at 10:45 and my boys at 1:00 and as soon they came home, they went straight to our backyard... to built snow forts! Nate and Mya was building one together and Ike was building his own, so they could have a snow fight. They were out there for a hour having a great time, until someone came in crying but overall, they had a BLAST!!!
Also yesterday was Bean's 2nd Birthday!!! We are so grateful for him and the many adventures we had have with him...

he's a great addition to our family!!!!

A Haunting We Will Go....

Halloween is one of my favorite holiday! It's the one season that I go crazy decorating the outside of my house, just asks Blake!!! I become a kid and I love everything about Halloween except scary movies...can't do those anymore ever since having kids! I would have nightmares just looking at their commercials...crazy huh!
Fun Decorations!!!!
To decorate our pumpkins we have these potato head like parts that meant for the pumpkins...my kids have a blast using these pieces!
This year was especially busy for me because I was nominated to be room mom to Nate's and Ike's class, which means that I plan the class parties! Thank goodness, Ike's class was simple and the kids planned their party but Nate's, it was all me! I roped some moms in the class to head up some stations I decided to do but it was definitely stressful!!! Also Mya wanted me to help at her party and to dress up too, so never the less, I was at the school all day but the party was successful!!!
Class Parties
My kids was so happy to be in their costumes!!!
Dark Vader...yes he has been this before but we finally put our foot down on Harry Porter costume! Being Harry for 6 Halloweens is TOO MUCH!!!
Combat Warrior....so COOL!!!
Pilot...she's so AWESOME!

This year Blake dressed up too for Halloween...too bad, no one knew who he was and it was such a good joke!!! He got confuse as a bishop with a orange tan but he was John Boehner and he even had a pack cigarettes in his pocket. My friend asked me if I could be a fortune teller at her Halloween party..so I was a gypsy! I couldn't find a costume that wasn't sleazy, so I made my own and I think it came out pretty good!
Mya is with her good friend Sam.
We were invited to several parties and we had a great time at both of them...good food and good friends!!!
After the party, we headed to our ward's trunk-o-treat, which was really three wards and the parking lot was packed and my kids had a tons of candy!!!

Mya and Sam at the trunk-o-treat...because Halloween was on a Sunday this year and here in Washington they celebrate it on the day it fall, this was all the trick-o-treating my kids were doing...but they were able to give out candy to those treat-o-treaters that came to our door.

My First Born

My first born has turn 11 and I can't believe it has flown so fast!!!
To my first born son, eldest of three.
Whom I've always loved and adored
You're such a good son, and also a big brother
You've always made me proud to be your mother

From the moment I knew you existed
The live that I felt for you could not be resisted
The elation that I felt as you grew in my womb
The joy I felt in my heart as I started to bloom

From the first time you kicked your Dad in the ear
Until the glorious day you actually appeared
Upside down and much quicker than planned
You changed my life that instant, you understand
Becoming a parent was scary from the start
You hope you do the right thing by following your heart
You give your love and guidance each and every day
Hoping to raise your children the best possible way
But you never receive any specific guarantee
That they'll turn out exactly as you want them to be
You pray that you've influenced them positively each day
In decisions they make, what they do, what they say

You hope and you pray that you've done everything right
But you never know the outcome, not just overnight
So you share in their lives, through the ups and the downs
And try to support them and always be around
So while raising you I tried to do the best that I could do
I don't know exactly what I did to deserve you
But I definitely must have done something right
Because having you for my son has been pure delight
I'm so very proud of the wonderful young man you've becoming
(Hopefully, contributed in part by something I have done)
I hope that my love and guidance has played a small part
I know the most important part comes straight from your heart
I'll always be there for you in any way that I can
That won't ever change, even when you're a man
You're my flesh and blood, an important part of my life
And will forever be.

I found this poem and it describe exactly what I feel for you and I'm been so blessed to have you as my son.
So this year we decided that you could have a birthday party...the last one was when you were 6 and we lived in Utah. You wanted a pizza and laser tag birthday party...everyone had a BLAST!...So the day of your birthday day, you got to open your presents and you were so surprised!
Even your siblings joined you and you all had a grand time playing those instruments.
So you decided for breakfast, you wanted German pancake and bacon.
For Lunch, you wanted a Subway sandwich...that I bought to you for lunch at school with a candy lei.
For dinner, you wanted a crab salad(which the first time he didn't want lasagna!)
For your cake you wanted a pumpkin cake
Happy Birthday to my first Born!!!

Her Freedom With Her Wheels!!!

Ever since Mya learned to ride her bike without training wheels, she's rather ride than walk. Especially going to school and coming back...it's so cute to see her with her backpack riding her princess bike.
It been such a joy watching her spread her wings and ride...

A New Year And A New Beginning!

September 2nd was the first day of school for my kids...which mean that all my kids were going to school!!! My kids all received the teachers they wanted and I was happy for them...and a little sad, that my baby was going to Kindergarten...I truly started to feel my age!!!!
My first born is entering the fifth grade...where the heck did the time fly to!!!...he only has two more years of elementary school until he enter middle school!!!! His teacher is Ms. Shaw and he was truly excited about that.
My baby boy is entering the third grade...WOW!!! All summer he was waiting to know if he got the teacher he wanted the most in the whole world, Mrs. Current...I think he wanted her because Isaac had her in third grade and because she was AWESOME....soooooooo, he got his wish!!!!
My last born...my baby, started Kindergarten...it was bittersweet seeing off to school but she was so ready!!! She's only away for two 1/2 hours everyday, so I don't know really how it is to be home without kids through the day, I'll find out next year, when she's in first grade...she was so excited to learn that her teacher was Mrs. Blakley!

So have you ever try to take pictures with all your kids together...it's a nightmare...you would think, now that they are older that it would be easy but NO!!!! If it's not one child that doesn't want to take a picture, it's the other child who can't stay still or  all you kids give you the FAKEST SMILE ON THE EARTH...like they forgotten how to smile naturally...you would be LUCKY to get just ONE photo with them looking at you...so anyhow, I decided to make a collage, of all the poses they gave me and to remind myself this is what my children are like when a camera is in their faces.
But my favorite photo, wasn't perfect but it shows my children true personalities!
