Our sweet baby is finally 5, where did the time go! She was so EXCITED to be the princess for the day! The first thing was opening presents and wearing her favorite nightgown that her Nana made for her.
Her birthday landed on a Sunday, so she got a new church outfit and we had to take some photos.
She was a good sport, letting her mama take so many photos even though towards the end she was tried of smiling...but I got some great shots!
She was the star in Primary and loved all the attention. As custom in our family the birthday person gets anything they want...so for breakfast/lunch she wanted strawberry waffles, and for dinner, pepperoni pizza and cherry cheese cake for her birthday cake. We played the games she wanted , Sleeping Queen and Hang Four and watched the shows she wanted like "Lady and the Tramp" with popcorn!
So we had a Royal Birthday Party for her, she hasn't had a party since she was one and was long over due. She got to invite 5 friends and she decided she wanted a princess party. But one of her very close friend is a boy, so the party was call a Royal Celebration plus one Knight. All our guests was encouraged to wear Royal clothes and it was GREAT!!! Except for some minor Hiccups(like the cake I was making and it falling apart. Running to Albertson's at the last minute to find a cake...which turned out so cute and yummy...but my crown cake would have rocked!)the party was a SUCCESS!
We had craft time, each princess decorated royal mirrors and the knight made a shield, pinned the tail on the dragon disguised as a donkey, had a treasure hunt and played musical chairs. Then we had cake and ice cream and then open presents.
She got to pick out the colors and the decorations for her party. The kids had a great time and Mya had a celebration that she'll always remember!
